Background and release

Prior to production, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer on May 17, 2005, causing delays from the remains of ShowgirlÃ, The Greatest Hits Tour and its withdrawal from the Glastonbury Festival. While recuperating in Melbourne, Minogue began writing lyrics toward the end of his cancer treatment in mid-2006, having not done any music for the previous year. Due to the recovery time after his cancer, X is the first album Minogue has been consciously ready for recording, having previously been involved for much of his career in an endless cycle of notes, releases and tours.

"In My Arms" is presented as the second album worldwide, while it is the third single in Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. Because of this, the next single is "Wow", which is the second single in these countries. However, since "In My Arms" was not released in North America, "Wow" later served as the only single club in the country they wanted "All I See" as the first mainstream single in North America. However, after the release, it did not work on the charts. Also note that "In My Arms" was released one day before the single "Wow". In music, "In My Arms" is a song inspired by synthpop and dance-pop. This is Minogue's first single published on 7 "vinyl since 1997" Some Kind of Bliss ".
