"Tonight I Be Fall in Love" was written by Richard Gower and produced by British producer Mickie Most, owner of RAK Records. It was the only 1985 Quatro release, which failed to break into the British Top 100, although it peaked at # 140 in the UK.
Following the limited success of the 1982 Main Attraction album, Quatro found himself unlabeled. During 1984, Quatro returned to London to record a new album, despite not having a record company. Quatro convinces Tuckey, her husband and collaborators, that they must continue to make albums, and then try to gain interest in the label once it's done. They ordered RAK Studios for two weeks, with Quatro writing and Tuckey producing. Each recorded song is original except for "Oh Suzi Q" written by Dale Hawkins. Quatro wrote a song about his daughter Laura, who was born in 1982, entitled "Everything I Ever Wanted," while the other songs recorded during the two-week session were "Pardon Me," "There She Goes," "I'm a Rocker, "" Strange Encounters, "Comes the Night," "Starry Night," Good Girl Looking for a Bad Time, "(written for Michelle's caregiver)," Secret Hideaway "and" Just Like Mama, "the latter coming from the first tour of Quatro with Slade in 1972.
After the recording session, Quatro and Tuckey failed to secure a deal for the album, which remained unreleased until 1998 when it came out on the Connoisseur Collection label titled Unleaded Emotions . During the RAK studio session, Mickie Most will appear and come out to help with the mix, and it is decided for Quatro and Most to do some songs together. "Tonight I Can Fall In Love" will be a single, coupled with "Good Girl (Looking for a Bad Time)" as a B-Side. The only other song to see the light from the session is "I'm a Rocker", which is a side-b to Quatro's 1984 former single "I Go Wild".
This single received limited promotion overall and did not have a music video.

Release
The single was released via 7 "and 12" vinyl through RAK ââRecords in UK, Holland and Germany only. The single featured a b-side "Good Girl (Good Time)" written by Quatro and his guitarist/then her husband Len Tuckey. It was also produced by Most. B-side is exclusive for singles, although it will later appear on the 1998 album Connoisseur Collection Unreleased Emotion . The 12 "vinyl was published with the same b-side but extended the six-minute version of" Tonight I Could Fall in Love "as the flagship song.
Both the 7 "and 12" releases include artwork, full color drawing sleeves, featuring a Quatro photo against some window blinds. The only difference between the artworks of the 7 "and 12" releases, is that the curtain emits blue light on a 7 "vinyl release while it gives a green tint on the 12 vinyl release". His photography was handled by Paul Forrester, while Quatro's hair and makeup was done by Clancy Valentina.
Following the original release as a non-album single, the song would later appear as a bonus song on the 2012 CD re-edition of the Unreleased Emotion album from 1998. Both "I Go Wild" and "Tonight I Could Fall Love "are two bonus songs on release.
