" If I Tell You That" is a 2000 duet by American singer Whitney Houston and British singer George Michael. The song was released as the first UK single and the second US single from Houston Whitney album: The Greatest Hits . The song first appeared on the Houston Multi-Platinum album of 1998, in which she sang solo. George Michael's vocals were later recorded and added to the song when the song was put into Houston's biggest hit package. In addition to adding Michael's vocals to a newer version of the song, the settings of the song are also modified, though only very little. The song originally featured Michael Jackson.
While Houston did a concert, they both never collaborated on live versions. Michael never brought the song directly in one of his concerts. Though "If I Tell You That" is a hit, it does not appear on Michael's compilation album Twenty Five .
