Insomniac is the eighth studio album, and the fourth English album, released by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias. The album was produced by John Shanks, Kristian Lundin, Sean Garrett, Anders Bagge, Jesper Andersen, Mark Taylor, Stargate, and Maratone. It also contains his first collaboration with a rapper, Lil Wayne, as well as a cover of Ringside's indie band "Tired of Being Sorry". The album is said to be different from previous albums, combining more contemporary pop styles. In addition to hip hop collaboration, the album also incorporates elements of R & amp; B and Latin pop. The album was released worldwide on June 11, 2007 and in the United States on June 12, 2007. It is also the first album of Iglesias with its full name on the cover, having previously been credited as "Enrique".

Background and composition
The album is her first album for four years since 7 , which failed to match the surprise sales of 2001's Escape . "Insomniac" is not just the title of the album, it is also the fact of Iglesias's life, which says she often takes a sleeping pills to get a good night's rest. Allmusic's asker Stephen Thomas Erlewine gave the album 2.5 out of 5 stars, writes: "'Insomniac' is pushed into a younger audience but Enrique has too many crossover men to spend the entire album doing nasty Sometimes, he pushes too hard in either direction, but sometimes Iglesias strike the right balance between pop crossovers and the new trendy retro-wave production.What works on a slick, sweet makeover is what always works for it: ballads and middle-of-the-road pop songs. may not be hip, but they are part of the family tradition, and when he attaches to them, he becomes as good as ever.
