Special custom page: PasswordReset is useful in two cases:

If you forgot your password and you previously entered an email address when signing up for your account or in your Preferences, and you still have access to that email account, then this special page can help you recover access to your account.
Go to Custom: PasswordReset. You can enter your username or email. If you believe your email, but not your username, just enter your email. The system will send a temporary password to your stored email address which will allow you to retrieve your account. You can change your password after you sign in.

Similarly: If you forgot your username and you previously entered an email address when signing up for an account or in your Preferences, and you still have access to that email account, then the page this can help you recover access to your account.
Go to Specific: PasswordReset and enter your email address, and the system will send an email containing, among other things, a reminder of your username.
